HAPPY 175TH BIRTHDAY TO TIFFANY&CO!!!!!

There is never enough reasons to celebrate - especially Birthday!!!And this year is very special to.....Tiffany & Co who celebrates its 175 Anniversary!!!
On September 18 1837. Charles Lewis Tiffany founded a “stationery and fancy goods emporium” known as Tiffany, Young and Ellis and sold a wide variety of stationery items. The name evolved into Tiffany & Co. in 1853 when Charles Tiffany, “The King of Diamonds”,
took control and focused on jewelry.

Whether it is the iconic Tiffany Setting, the Tiffany Diamond Audrey Hepburn wore for the 1961 film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, or the distinctive Tiffany Blue Box, this jewelry house has been a part of every girl’s dream.
“Since the early twentieth century, the world has been enchanted with Tiffany glamour. In the 1961 Hollywood classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, Audrey Hepburn personified Tiffany style…
Today, Tiffany’s exquisite designs continue to exude sophistication and elegance in magazines, in films and on the red carpet.

Many of us don't even realize that is was Tiffany&Co that introduced the engagement ring that became part of the most important decision in people's life.

Last Tuesday, I got an invitation to spend a wonderful morning at "Breakfast at Tiffany's" at Tiffany's boutique in Chinook Centre/Calgary. Together with selected bloggers(also my friends), in beautiful settings, my eyes could cherish the moment of looking at the beautiful Tiffany's creations and designs.....and of course trying them on!!!

In honor of its 175th anniversary, Tiffany & Co. unveils RUBEDO™ metal, a new jeweler’s metal. RUBEDO™ metal is the first such creation in Tiffany’s history and takes its place among the most beautiful metals in the world.

At the 1878 Paris fair, Tiffany became the first American silversmith to take home the Grand Prize for Excellence, awarded for its ingenious Japanesque silver of inlaid mixed metals and complex alloys of gold, silver, copper, bronze and platinum.

Tiffany 1837™ RUBEDO™ jewelry designs inscribed with the signature of founder Charles Lewis Tiffany are available for 2012, in celebration of Tiffany’s anniversary year, at select Tiffany & Co. stores worldwide and at Tiffany.com.
